The College must confirm that your education is substantially equivalent to that of a Canadian MLT graduate. To complete a substantial equivalency (prior learning assessment) please contact the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Sciences (CSMLS).

Applicants are now required to successfully complete a jurispurdence exam. The exam will be assigned to applicants as per the REG.032 Jurisprudence Exam policy.
Remember: You cannot work as a medical laboratory technologist in Nova Scotia until you have received notice from NSCMLT that your application has been approved.
Acknowledgement of Supervision Form
If you are applying for a provisional (temporary) license while you await to write the national exam or receive the outcome of your exam, a completed acknowledgement of supervision form is required. To be completed and signed prior to commencement of employment. Once completed please log in and upload the document using the supporting document icon.
