Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) and Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (CLXT) Regulations

We are diligently working to comply with the upcoming Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) and Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (CLXT) regulations, effective May 3, 2025.

Current Activities:

Laboratory Visits: We will be visiting laboratories in the near future to present on the new regulations and their implications for medical laboratory technology, particularly for Medical Laboratory Assistants and Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists.
Online Application Form Update: We are updating our online initial application form for you to apply for licensure.
Information Sheet: We are collaborating with the NSH and IWK to provide an information sheet for you. This will be shared with you in the near future.
