About Us

The Nova Scotia College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (NSCMLT) is the professional regulatory body responsible for the licensure of Medical Laboratory Technologists within Nova Scotia.

NSCMLT is the voice for professional concerns with an exclusive directive to regulate Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) in Nova Scotia.

NSCMLT is dedicated to continual improvement of patient safety by the ongoing improvement of the practice of medical laboratory technology and quality medical laboratory testing.

MLT Professionalism is ensured by entrance to practice requirements, compulsory life-long competencies and a formal process for issues and concerns.

NSCMLT promotes a variety of opportunities for professional advancement for Medical Laboratory Technologists.
