Our name has changed, but our focus on safe practice remains the same.
On February 2, 2026, the NSCMLT transitioned under the NS Regulated Health Professions Act and became known as the Nova Scotia Regulator of Medical Laboratory Sciences (NSRMLS).

Effective Feb. 02 2026, the Medical Laboratory Act 2003, the Medical Laboratory Technologists Regulations 2003 and the Medical Laboratory Assistants and Combined Laboratory Xray Technologists Regulations 2025 are repealed in effect by s.189 of the Regulated Health Professions Act, N. S. 2023 ,c.15.
