Continuing Education Requirements

Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) are highly trained and skilled professionals who are an integral part of the health care community.  Lifelong learning is essential to keep this expertise in the rapidly changing technical laboratory environment.  The NSCMLT Standards of Practice, guides the MLT in demonstrating, maintaining, and improving their knowledge and skills while remaining current with scientific advances in medical laboratory technology.

The purpose of TeKnowledge.ns is to provide NSCMLT members with recognition and documentation of achieving sufficient professional development to be eligible for licensing to practice medical laboratory technology.

NSCMLT:

  • Supports members with ongoing Professional Development
  • Supports members in accessing and identifying local Professional Development opportunities
  • Supports members in documenting Professional Development activities online
