Continuing Education Requirements

ONLINE APPLICATION

Manage your application online. You may upload your documents in a pdf or jpeg format and enter credits as acquired. The application will save your information until you are ready to submit your application. Once you submit your application, you will not be able to add to the application. If the application is received incomplete, you will receive a notice from NSCMLT and will then be able to complete the same application. 

The minimum number of credits required to obtain a TeKnowledge.ns certificate is 8 (eight).

Credits are based on the work experience and educational activities acquired during the 4 year period prior to the due date of the application.

WORK

A maximum of 4 work credits (2000 hours) can be submitted to obtain a TeKnowledge.ns certificate. One work credit is based on 500 hours worked.

The minimum work credit requirement for 4 years is 0.2 credits or 100 hours. 

EDUCATION

A minimum of 4 education credits must be submitted. Refer to the ? HELP tabs for current educational credit charts to determine applicable values for each section. If unsure as to how educational credits are to be applied, contact the NSCMLT at info@nscmlt.org.

Reading material documented on the application must be itemized. Applicants who submit “CSMLS journal articles x 40” will be asked to re-submit a list of the articles.

Copies of all learning material should be kept for 4 years in the event of an internal audit.
